Cleanup at Lake Guntersville State Park | Community Spirit
Volunteers and park officials gathered Saturday at Lake Guntersville State Park for a cleanup.
Many were assigned to various projects across the park.
Two years later, they're still finding debris from the April 27, 2011 storms.
Saturday's focus was on beautifying the park.
Flowers were planted at the campground where so much of the damage was done.
"We've got our employees and the local community coming out to do volunteer work to help clean up the park and plant trees and just do basic cleanup just to show it's not just the job for us but we love our park," said Lake Guntersville State Park Superintendent, Mike Jeffreys.
