Police identify victim in fatal Guntersville crash | News

GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A Madison man was killed in a head-on collision in Guntersville Sunday night.
The wreck happened just north of the Big River Bridge on Highway 431 around 5:16 p.m. Sunday.
According to Guntersville Police, a 1998 black Chevrolet Silverado driven by 54-year-old Michael Frost, of Albertville, was hit head-on by a 1993 Nissan Sentra driven by 37-year-old Jonathan Lynn Thompson, of Madison.
Frost was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by ambulance. Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Thompson was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Highway 431 at the time of the collision.
Guntersville Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
