Deputies arrest 18 suspects in drug roundup

MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- Marshall County deputies conducted an early morning drug roundup that ended with 18 arrests.

Just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, deputies began serving drug warrants at homes in the northern end of Marshall County. Investigators said this roundup follows a seven-month investigation into the distribution of drugs in Marshall County.

The illegal drugs being distributed include meth, marijuana, pills, and other drugs. Deputies started with more than two dozen warrants, and by 6 a.m. Tuesday, they had 18 suspects in custody.

One group of suspects were not at home, but deputies continue to search for them.

The following people were arrested during the roundup:

Two more people were arrested on warrants for Guntersville Police.

Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Madison County Sheriff's Department and Alabama Department of Pardons and Paroles assisted in the operation.
